About the Artisan and Craft : Thangka paintings are very intricate and detailed, with images interwoven in a stylised geometric series of overlapping grids, taking many weeks or even months to complete. Tenzing Lama from Leh is a second-generation Thangka Painting Artist practising the craft for the last 15 years. There are around 22 artists working with him.
