About the Craft and Artisan :: Sakur Luhar, a copper bell artisan from Kutch, Gujarat has been practicing the craft since the past 20 years. The skill has been passed on from his grandfather and is a craft practiced exclusively in that particular region in India with its speciality being the amazing sound it produces. His wife is involved where-in the team comprises of 6-8 people, with women doing 30-40 percent of the work.
The products range from keychains to bells to musical instruments and the US has been their largest market since the past 45-50 years while gaining popularity in India now.
